Elaine Weathers

A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa Alabama Ms. Weathers was admitted to the Alabama Bar in May 1989. Her legal experience has spanned several disciplines including criminal law, family law, estate litigation, intellectual property, and as a general practitioner. However, since graduating from law school, she has practiced primarily in Criminal Law as an Assistant District Attorney for six years and as a defense attorney since that time. Ms. Weathers has tried in excess of 100 felony jury trials and many misdemeanors and juvenile trials. Serving as a prosecutor Ms. Weathers worked tirelessly to protect victims of crime and punish the offender. She received advanced training as a prosecutor at Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois, and at the National Advocacy Center, Columbia, South Carolina. Following her service as a prosecutor, Ms. Weathers went into private practice and devoted herself to the effective representation of citizens accused of criminal offenses and general practice. She has taught college-level classes in Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, and Civil Procedure. In 2007 Ms. Weathers opened her private law office for the representation of clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Ms. Weathers is committed to providing superior professional legal representation to clients in need of legal services and treating the client with respect and professional courtesy.
